Everything You Need To Know About Trump Booster Kellyanne Conway

Whitehouse counselor Kellyanne Conway became a household name after managing Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and acting as his senior counselor. She’s considered a bit controversial by some for things like her statements about feminism, but also for things like getting caught with her shoes up on the couch in the oval office. She’s regularly in the media these days, and yet you might not know as much about her as you think you do.

Love her or hate her, here are some things you should know about Kellyanne Conway. She even has some pageant days in her past!

10. She Grew Up Without Her Father

Kellyanne was born in New Jersey but grew up in a smaller town outside of Philadelphia. Her dad left when she was just two-years-old, so she was raised by her mom, two aunts, and her grandmother. Her mom was the shift supervisor at a casino and needed the extra help from the family.

9. She Has A History With Blueberries

When Kellyanne was growing up, she spent some time hanging out at her grandfather’s blueberry farm, where she would pick blueberries to make spending cash. She also won the New Jersey Blueberry Princess Pageant at the age of 16 in what is considered the “Blueberry Capital of the World.”

8. Her Love Of Politics Started In High School

Kellyanne first found an interest in politics when she was in high school. She had an assignment for a local newspaper to cover the 1984 Democratic National Convention and Republican National Convention. At first, she was actually leaning towards the democratic perspective, but Ronald Reagan’s thoughts turned her republican. Read on to hear where she continued her education.

7. She Attended A Couple Schools

Kellyanne went to Trinity Washington University for her undergrad college work and spent one year studying abroad at Oxford. After graduating, she decided to go to law school as well and graduated with her law degree from George Washington University. The George Washington University Law School happens to be the oldest one that’s in Washington D.C., so it’s a bit historic at that.

6. She Founded The Polling Company

Kellyanne founded The Polling Company in 1995. Part of its intention is to help male conservative candidates reach women voters, as well as provide insight into consumer trends for corporations. When she first got involved in polling she worked as a research assistant for Richard Wirthlin, who worked for Ronald Reagan.
Kellyanne is married, and met her husband in an unconventional way …

5. Kellyanne’s Husband First Spotted Her On A Magazine

The first time that George T. Conway III laid eyes on Kellyanne Fitzpatrick was when he spotted her on the cover of Washington society magazine. He then asked a mutual friend to make the introduction, and the friend complied. That was back and 1998, and these days the two are happily married with four kids.
But how did she meet Trump, the big man himself? Well, that’s an interesting story …

4. She First Met Donald Trump After Buying One of His Condos

Kellyanne and George bought a condo in New York’s Trump World Tower in 2001, which is where she originally met the man. She joined the condo’s board in 2006 and then started working with Trump directly in 2013. She produced a poll for him when he was considering a run for governor of New York.

3. She Rejects Feminism

Kellyanne has rejected feminism outright. She has said that feminism is “anti-male” as well as “pro-abortion” and she is neither. She also thinks that a lot of women take issue with other women being in power, and has even advised Republican men to stop talking so much about rape.

2. She Did A Lot Of Advising Before Trump

In the 1990’s, Kellyanne started working for Newt Gingrich when he was in the House of Representatives and then circled back around in 2012 when he was running for president. She also advised the former Vice President Dan Quayle, Mike Pence when he ran for governor, and Ted Cruz when he launched a presidential campaign.

1. Kellyanne Got A Promotion After Trump Won

While Kellyanne was working as Trump’s campaign manager she was referred to as his “candidate manager” since she was particularly good at talking him up. Some even said that she was better at describing Trump’s intentions that he was. After he won, she was officially given the job of senior counselor.

Well, there you have it. Kellyanne Conway is one of those people who has lived and breathed politics since high school and doesn’t sound like she’s slowed down since. It’s not all too surprising that the strong republican supporter has ended up where she is today. (Even if the fact that Donald Trump is president is still a bit surprising to some.)
