In many occasions we wonder what could be making our babies cry so hard, you’ll think they lost a finger only to find out that the smallest of things pulled the trigger to their unstoppable wailing. As parents we definitely panic when this happens, especially so when they are too small to articulate how they truly feel. Sometimes finding humor in this occasion is the better alternative. Here is a collection of funny pictures explaining why your baby throws a fit. Enjoy this and take it easy on parenthood.
1. Give me that ball, dad.
This little sailor is definitely in position for a ball game. However dad may have pass the ball a little too hard, he seemed to have missed it. Poor baby, if he only knew it was right behind his cute little butt.
2. Move over big fella.
He want to do some furniture rearranging and yet this monstrous dog won’t budge. This little one is pure with determination that no amount of stumbling back can change his mind about this chair.
3. The poop in the yard is the culprit.
Little miss wants to touch and play with some dog poop in the yard. You see, the texture and the color looks really inviting and hard to resist. When mom said the magic word “no” the wailing begins.
4. We see early signs of Obsessive compulsiveness here.
This baby is showing some signs of being OC. Perfection is the goal here, he has to get that last bit cereal and bring it down his mouth. You will notice that attention to detail is so prominent since the Cheerio piece lying on the table is so miniscule and yet he sees it wants to seize it with those little hands.
5. This grocery cart is Miinnne
This is a case of sibling rivalry. He use to go to the grocery with mom and own that cart like the big boss. Now little sis came along and he is required to share his leg hole with this pacifier baby, who would not be upset, right?
6. Mr. Have it all.
He is used to enjoying all his toys at home and owns each one of them. He can touch and play with everything he wishes and he has no concept whatsoever of sharing. Now brought to this play yard with plenty of other kids, grabbing and taking even those toys already in his hands is totally foreign to our cute baby here. He is in culture shock, one of many to come.
7. Self Punishment.
This little one is showing a sense of responsibility and discipline in such an early age. He supposedly disciplines himself by subjecting himself to a time out, that shows self discipline right there. As to what he believes he is responsible doing that demands this ordeal, that we are not quite sure at this point.
8. Withheld his favorite snack.
Babies can go crazy over food. Deprivation of their favorite munching results to hours of tantrums and horrific crying. Another fact is our babies put everything and anything in their mouth. Combine this two facts leads to this next picture. The parent, for all good reason, withheld his “food’ for today- Styrofoam.
9. Bath time woes.
A baby’s bath allows us many opportunities to bond with our kid. We all know the effect of skin to skin touch with your young as well as the emotional growth they experience every time we do this activity with our kids. But let us be real, moms and dads, this too can be one of the most exhausting task we need to do every single day. There will always be a drama in the bath tubs. Distraction is the key which lead to the invention of rubber ducks and other bath toys. Here’s a photo of a captured bathroom drama, only to realize how funny it actually is.
10. Headphone is not enough to cover the noise.
Our babies are a little sensitive with loud noise. They also tend to panic in a crowd. I can still remember a time I took my baby to a nearby fast food. At the middle of our meal, a group of teenagers mostly girls hover over her to admire and take pictures of her, it was terrible moment for my little one; she wailed as hard as she could, I think she got too overwhelmed. Multiply that by three in this picture and now imagine the horror this little girl must have felt. It is just too much for them.
11. Hate anything to do with buckles and constraint.
I don’t know what it is with babies, but they just hate buckles to the bones. Anything that has to do with restraint of movement even if it is for their own safety is unwelcome. This is specially true with Car seats, strollers, high chairs and even a life vest it turned out. Here’s a pic to remind us all that our little charmer is born to be free.
13. Sunscreen dilemma
Will power is something we can admire about our kids. When they want something, they will go for it despite our best efforts to reprimand or discipline. That is so because at their age they have no concept yet of obedience, and their nature is leaned towards trying out everything themselves. It is up to us to impose our rules even if results to something like this, rules like “No sunscreen during rain or winter. “
14. Fear of strangers.
Our kids are introvert in the beginning. They get used and are confident around the familiar set of people. They have a very strong sense of who their folks are and who aren’t. They have attachment issues written all over their face. Here is one good example of this phenomena, hand them to any stranger, even if it the President of the country and they will still throw a fit.
15. Playtime gone wild.
Siblings often are the best of friends and the worst of enemies. This dynamics develop early on. Don’t we all have that childhood memory of the biggest fight we had with our older brother/ sister? I say older, because in reality, the older siblings are the bullies of the younger ones. As evidenced by this shot.
16. Pets introduced at the wrong moment.
Children are drawn to pets, especially dogs. You see them appreciate and get excited in the company of dogs. This is helpful with their social development as well as emotional maturity. But there are activities that are off limits to our kids at a young age. Walking a particularly large breed of dog is one of them. Is that a bulldog? No wonder this little boy is scared to death with the leash.
17. At a tattoo shop
Whoever brings a baby in such a place? Unless of course you are the artist to which I can tag it as occupational hazard. This baby definitely wants to be out of here.
18. Boxed up.
Babies love to fit themselves in small holes, little passages, and attractive looking boxes. They just like the feeling that they can squeeze through and snug up. In this picture, the cute chubby cheeks saw some opening and could not resist trying and getting inside, on the way out though he found himself boxed up by the walls and hangings of this cabinet. And what a terrifying and frustrating thought that must be.
19. Fun little circus moves.
Our baby at best can also be described as a contortionist if not a circus performer. They will try all possible body position and height daredevils without thinking twice. This picture shows the classic Superman position, suspended in mid air with only the edge of the sofa and table as support on each side. Apparently, he got stuck!
20. Muffins gone missing.
Our babies as mentioned earlier have special relationship with their food. They have an insatiable appetite for anything good and tasty. This little guy seems to be losing his edge when affronted by the muffins’ sudden disappearance. Serve him more please.
21. The walking stage.
We parents are so eager for our babies to reach a milestone in their lives. One milestone though you would not dream coming is the day they learn to walk on their own. If in the past, you had it easy, when this babies learn to walk it will turn your world upside down. They suddenly become independent and withhold to receive any help. They will fall and get bruised in the process but here is where their reflex will grow and their sense of safety develops. Here in this pic you will see a classic case of falling down from a walk. Be ready with those band aids.
22. The total meltdown.
Kids learn how to manipulate at this stage. I am not sure how they figure things like “the louder I cry, the better I will get what I want.” In some occasion, crying does not do the trick so they coupled it with throwing their legs and putting their hand in the air. If this too does not work, they give us “the meltdown”, a feat wherein they throw their entire body mass onto the floor and give us a good shake just for scare. The mom as shown in this picture, scoops up her daughter as the girl is throwing a big one. .
23. The penny problem.
Babies cry when they can’t have it their way. Even with playing, not only is their attention span fleeting but more so their patience evaporating like a drop of water in summer. To improve their patience and attention span, we must introduce activities that focus on detail and delayed gratification. In a world where instant is the fad, to teach patience is like teaching the elephant to swim, tumultuous but doable. Look at this one giving tantrum as he got frustrated with playing with mom’s coins.
24. The culprit is the Microwave.
Fascinating to raise a kid in this era where life is easy and instant, thank God that microwave is available. However my champ here does not seem to share the same view, he thinks microwave stole his food and that gesture is showing only one thing -frustration.
25. Farm visit gone sour.
A fun and educational activity for your babies is to bring them to the zoo or to a farm. This way, the characters they only see in cartoon can be co-related to real life counterparts. Some things to watch out though is their safety. Don’t let them go to near the animals to avoid this from happening.
26. I think he wants to blow the candle again.
My nephew who is a 2 year old boy, loves blowing candles. Even if the party is not his, he will not miss the chance to blow the cake. The boy in the picture looks like he wants the same thing as my nephew. They love birthday parties with the games and food involved.
27. Dog do, baby follows.
This princess may have seen their dog come right in and out of this hole and thought of following suit. Problem is her but is too big for this dog hole. The girl totally ignores the easier path which is the wide open doors.
28. Dog took the baby for a pillow.
If I were the baby in this picture I would have reacted the same way and more. Though the dog maybe friendly and is trained to have little children around it, it still is not a guarantee that your child will not be harmed. So moms please observe with watchful eyes.
29. Playtime genius
I am amazed at the level of intellect babies have today. Not only are they well introduced to technology, they also become more and more innovative with the kind of games they play. This guy may have been crying since he could not execute what he intends to do with his toys. And that is fit this lego man head in his T-rex friend.
30. He want his cornbread plain.
A picky eater will find good reasons to excuse themselves from eating. This happens when we introduce flavorful foods at onset of their solid intakes. They learn taste which they do not have a concept of when it started. My advice to all moms is to make your food presentation so attractive that your baby will gain more interest in finishing the meal.
31. Our cheese lover baby.
This cheese held by the parent broke in two and little baby does not fell comfortable with that at all. She wants her cheese whole. Mom has to prop another one of the fridge if she wants a moment of peace.
32. Bacon please…
Even I will cry if told this. Kidding aside, feeding our babies solid is challenging. Keeping them interested and hooked with your food gives delight to parents. So be imaginative with your cooking moms. Do not serve the same meal over and over. Recreate the recipe and try to make it as healthy as well as enticing for a kid.
33. They must have hate the design of their new hat.
They don’t seem happy with their presents. They want to rid of it immediately. They don’t want it hanging around their head. To be quite honest, it does kind a look hideous those hats. Whoever made them should be answerable to this cuties emotional distress.
34. Miley’s # 1 hater.
Somebody is not a fan of the most popular sensation. This girl is a bright one, we should filter what we let our kids watch. MTV’s are not yet age appropriate for our babies. We do this censor because we wanted to protect our child. Research have shown that too much television exposure can delay the baby’s speech.
35. Chucky got a fan.
In the mall or in the groceries, our babies can suddenly throw a tantrum whenever they are apprehended for wanting to buy something. Even babies have shopping addictions which they channel into frustration when not able to buy their pick. My take, don’t bring them to the mall as much as possible. Explain early on the value of money and introduce the reward system when giving toys.
36. He wants to meet the hero not the actor.
Robert Downey Jr. thinks he is so lovable, wait till he meets this guy and he proved himself wrong when he faced this difficult fan. Again, strangers are scary to our kids. I am not quite sure if he wore the Iron man costume, the scare will be replaced with curiosity.
Our list has ended and yet the elation these pictures have brought us still lingers. These are moments captured in a child’s life, without pretense or rehearsals or consciousness. This are plain raw emotion from our babies, let us share this on facebook to let others see the beauty and madness and humor of a child.
